Weekly Idiom - see eye to eye: 看法一致

"see eye to eye" 不是"親眼看見,"
"親眼看見"是 "see with my own eyes"

Origin: This expression (see eye to eye) can be found in the bible. Imagine two people side by side watching the same event unfold. Since they both see the same thing, they see "eye to eye." That is, they will probably agree on what they are both experiencing and have the same view/opinion.

這個諺語來自聖經。想像一下,兩個人並排看著同樣的事件發生。由於他們都看並經歷到同樣的事件,他們很可能會有一致的看法。

Although Superman and Batman do things differently, they see eye to eye (agree) when it comes to helping people.

That man (not me :P) and his wife never see eye to eye on anything. They argue over the smallest things!

The presidential candidates disagree on many things, but they see eye to eye on the issue of healthcare.

Next week, I will teach you how to check if the idioms and expressions you use are suitable for academic writing!
